FRIDAY 23rd January Special Event Screening of the 9 finalist films in the 2013 9FilmFest. The 9FilmFest is a short film competition with a unique identity. Rather than accepting films previously produced, all films must be made specifically for the competition. The films must be under nine minutes, and they must have a signature item featured. 9FilmFest last year completed its third event. The first year, films had to feature the number 9. The second year, films had to feature a heart. The third year, films had to feature a waterway. Films can be any genre, and from any country, by new or old filmmakers. Run by Brian Bennett, a veteran of film festivals in Thailand, the festivals key aim is to release creative potential and discover new talent. The Friese-Greene Club will show the 9 finalist films. Brian Bennett will be present for a Q&A, and we hope that some of the filmmakers themselves will attend.
