FRIDAY FILMMAKERS COFFEE This Friday in Albuquerque at Fans of Film Cafe from 3:00-6:00 at 504 Yale SE. Thanks to Ian Dillon, we have a Facebook page! Please go LIKE it and post relevant and timely NM film/television news and events. facebook/FridayFilmakersCoffee THANK YOU! On Friday at 3:30 we’ll be screening Friday Filmmaker Coffee member and British television and film director Peter M. Kershaw’s short film, “WILFRED” this Friday, so please attend if you can. Here’s a synopsis: WILFRED by Peter M. Kershaw, Writer/Director & Producer Duchy Parade Films Winner of the Royal Television Society Award (NE) for Best Independent Production by an Independent Producer, and the SONY Award for Cinematography. Screened in over 50 film festivals around the world. Wilfred explores the personal witness to the pity of war experienced through the poetry of Wilfred Owen. A timely film, in Owen’s poetry the impact of war is the faceless enemy that makes victims of all it ensnares. This is a very powerful and moving film, and is not screened very often, so we hope you can make it. Peter is out of the country, but is generously allowing us to screen it for you. FFCoffees are rain or shine (unless it’s a national holiday) you can ADD TO YOUR CALENDAR, 1st and 3rd Fridays for the rest of the year: July 4th - NO FFC TODAY - HAPPY 4TH OF JULY! July 18th - Albuquerque: Fans of Film Cafe - 504 Yale SE August 1st - Santa Fe: Jean Cocteau Building August 15th - Albuquerque: Fans of Film Cafe - 504 Yale SE
