FRIDAY!!! Friday Morning MESS Report...without Yarnell B Ball...... Yep. Yarnell opted not to go on my walk this morning....he wanted to stay at the store yesterday, so he spent the night up there in the dark!! He was so enthused about meeting a new friend! He was there to meet Clyde the hedgehog and his two .....er.....uh.....what do you call baby hedgehogs? Kids? Children? Offspring?....oh well, you get the idea! Clyde wasnt too impressed.....kept trying to check out the edge of the counter. He had no idea how far it was to the floor from that edge.....Thanks, Terry Ownby. I enjoyed meeting and even holding Clyde! Although, he did prickle up a time or two. :) OK, cool mornings are so nice! We havent had but a few sweat factor days this summer. Wonderful. Got outta my car, decided to go up Stonewall Street first thing today. Rounded the corner by the city hall, and see the caution signs up. Whats going on? Crossed the street so I wouldnt be in the way, and they are digging up the pavement by the 4 way stop, so be advised.....dont know whats going on, but evidently there is a problem under the street. Went on around the corner to Magnolia Street, then down Bailey Street.....wait.......hold on.......WHAT is that I see running down the street here? WATER!! Not rain water, either. Down close to the parking lot of the Middle School, there it was.......ANOTHER fire hydrant has sprung a leak! This one is not a spraying leak, must be oozing up from the bottom. But its definitely running. Drat! Thats the way it goes......first your money, then your....oh wait.....thats not right. Ahem......Thats the way it goes......You fix one leak and another one blows! Its a conspiracy, I tell you. Hello, Bethel folks sitting on the front waiting on the cafeteria to open. Or something to open. Got my friendly wave in this morning! Yarnell will be so sorry he missed the two doggies who nearly broke their moms arm trying to get at the derranged lady walking on their sidewalk. They see me about 2 or 3 times a week, but they still would love to get at me!!! Nanney nanney boo boo to you, too, doggies. As long as your chains dont break, Ill walk on your sidewalk any time I want to. Time to go to work. Have a Friendly Friday.....over and out......
