FRIDAY NIGHT UPDATE ON MOM: Mom seemed to have a better day today - TopicsExpress

FRIDAY NIGHT UPDATE ON MOM: Mom seemed to have a better day today after the Doctor pulled 1.5 liters of fluid out of her chest cavity that was affecting her lungs. She got to sit in the chair next to her bed. She is still very woozy and in and out of it. She can focus for a few seconds and answer a question or two with a nod or shake of her head, but then shes back to sleep. Her motor function with her arms, legs, hands and feet is slow to recover just yet. We are assuming it is the residual paralytic drug they had her on which is still exiting her system. There is hope she gets her breathing tube out tomorrow. It was initially meant to be out today, but due to the fluid around her lungs it is pushed back a bit. She definitely doesnt like that thing though. You can tell she wants it out in a bad way. Matthew 8:5-10 (GNT) When Jesus entered Capernaum, a Roman officer met him and begged for help: “Sir, my servant is sick in bed at home, unable to move and suffering terribly.” “I will go and make him well,” Jesus said. “Oh no, sir,” answered the officer. “I do not deserve to have you come into my house. Just give the order, and my servant will get well. I, too, am a man under the authority of superior officers, and I have soldiers under me. I order this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes; and I order that one, ‘Come!’ and he comes; and I order my slave, ‘Do this!’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard this, he was surprised and said to the people following him, “I tell you, I have never found anyone in Israel with faith like this. Thank you for the continued prayers and praise to God. When we believe, so much is possible. The Roman Centurion Officer (in charge of 100 soldiers and a decent sized territory), was not supposed to worship or believe in such a monotheistic God as Yahweh. The Roman Empire, at this time, was polytheistic and believed in worshiping many gods. It was heresy to be in such a high position and not believe the way the Caesar did. However, this soldier had unwavering faith in Jesus and His authority because of how he had seen things and people respond to Christ. If we all had this type of faith, I wonder how much we could change the world?! God Bless you all for all youre doing! Thank you for those of you who have gone above and beyond and donated to moms medical costs. She is truly blessed to have so much love around her right now. In Him, Matt
