FRIDAYS FORGOTTEN FRIEND: BABY GIRL Folks, we have a very special girl for you to meet: BABY GIRL. Baby, a 3 year old Pit mix, was tied to a pole in the middle of nowhere, obviously abandoned. Someone actually did that on purpose. By an amazing twist of fate, someone found her and brought her into the loving arms of AWSOM staff and volunteers. She was understandably scared, shy and confused at first but with that magic combination of time, patience and love, Baby Girl has come out of her shell to reveal the sweet and loving girl she is! Baby Girl is happy, gentle and thoughtful. It understandably takes her a little time to warm up to new people, especially men, but once you earn her trust, she is total putty in your hands. Baby Girl is being passed over time and time again because, at first glance, she is seen at as scary looking Pitbull, which couldnt be further from the truth. One look into her stunning eyes instantly reveals the tender and caring soul she is. Our baby is the biggest cuddle bug that ever lived. She is always happy and just wants to be loved. Seriously, no matter what your doing, she will stop for a minute to be kissed and hugged. One of her favorite things in the world to do is lay on top of you, belly up, just like a baby . She snuggles into your body, trying to get as close as she possibly can. Words cant describe the feeling we get when we watch her playing, either by herself or in our doggy playgroups. To see her feel so carefree and uninhibited, after what shes been through, is one of the most amazing feelings in the world. Folks, make no mistake. She absolutely felt the rejection of her former owner to her very core. She was withdrawn, sullen, depressed, scared and hopeless. For us to see her let go of her past and be willing to start over is exhilarating. Its why we do what we do. Baby Girl is amazing on walks. She doesnt pull at all on the leash and is happy to trot proudly by your side and take any direction given. She gets along great with other dogs, but a meet and greet with yours is a must. She shows no reaction, other than a tail wag, when around cats and would be wonderful with people of all ages. In fact, we think she would make a terrific family dog. Once she loves you, her loyalty knows no limits. Girlfriend is spayed, UTD on shots, micro chipped, house trained and ready to be the center of your universe. Sweet girl also loves to go for car rides too. She hops right in, ready for whatever adventure awaits. One of her favorite things in life is food so she gets especially excited when she sees the McDonalds drive thru. If she could place the order herself, she would. Her entire body wags with pure bliss as you round the turn to the drive up window. She knows whats coming. She knows theres food in that little white bag and boy oh boy her entire face lights up in sheer bliss! Share a hamburger with her, or some chicken nuggets and she is in heaven. Baby Girl is a gorgeous girl who just needs a second chance. She needs someone who will show her every single day that she is a treasured member of your household. She deserves to be shown that her existence matters, to feel in that unshakable place inside of her, truly wanted. We saw the look of abandonment in her eyes. Baby Girl was utterly down-cast, forlorn and despondent when she arrived and it was heart wrenching. We dont ever want her to feel that way again. Ever. We know there is someone out there meant for our precious Girl. We are hoping you are reading this now. We are hoping you look at her and know, deep down, with certainty, that Baby Girl was meant for you. We are hoping you come running to the AWSOM shelter in Stroudsburg, PA because you cant bare the thought of her spending another homeless night alone.
