FROM A CONCERNED JKUAT STUDENT; Hey Mugo. I write to you because i know you have quiet a large following. Iam a JKUAT student and i can tell this is one government institution where a lot of evil happens without the public knowledge. The issue in hand is about consistent accommodation fee increment by the JKUAT administration. Last semester but one the fee was at ksh. 3900. Last semester it was hiked to ksh. 4700. Now the coming semester, students will be required to pay ksh. 6500 per semester. Its so unfortunate that no valid explanation is being given for this. JKUAT students have always believed in negotiations to solve their problems. Its so unfortunate for the administration to take advantage of this and the weak students body. A lot happens in this institution behind the scenes as students silently suffer. I hope you will highlight this issue as a matter of concern.
