FROM EZRA TSHISA SIBANDA Zimbabwe Warriors are in camp preparing for Tanzanian game in the return leg of the Afcon 2015 preliminary qualifying round. Zimbabwe is trailing Tanzania 1 nil from the first leg and need to win to go to the second round of the preliminary round. The most disturbing news from the camp is that players havent been paid their outstanding allowances let alone their bonuses of reaching the semi-finals of the Chan 2014 tournament in South Africa in the beginning of this year. When they went to Tanzania players were only given $15 allowance per day and now in camp they are given nothing. Some fools running Zifa have failed to support the players and coach Ian Gorowa but opting to spend their time on petty issues, which have nothing to do with football. They are just good at trying to score cheap points against each other. Are we really serious as a nation to allow such rubbish in our favourite sport? I feel some of these clueless people are trying to sabotage Ian Gorowa so that he loses the forth coming game. These imbeciles which have been at Zifa for years have failed dismally to run the association let alone improve the standard of football in this country. They only know corruption and match fixing, they are just anti- football merchants masquerading as football administrators. Zifa needs cleaning up, needs external auditors to check why it is in so much debts when it has never paid in full salaries and bonuses of players and coaches in the last decade. Why the Zifa president sometimes funds the association from his own pocket, what is his interest and benefits from doing so? The rotten system shouldnt be allowed to continue at Zifa and its time to expose them, watch this space!!!
