FROM: Julie Ridgeway I dont know how prevalent it is my family had long claimed my father had Aspergers, my belief at this point is that so do I and my 2 daughters as well. The older masking it as I have done for my whole life . I clued in to something going on with my youngest when she was preschool age (now 12) and about 2 years ago a neurologist diagnosed her with having symptoms of ASD with anxiety, ADHD, OCD and sensory issues . He has said she doesnt fit Aspergers but I can absolutely tell you thats what it is. After a another rough period of problems with her 2 friends and not understanding why this keeps happening, I began to discuss Aspergers with her. Can I please get suggestions of age appropriate material for her to read? Im trying to get her father to change insurance so we can get formal testing done but in the meantime, she needs help understanding and I need help to help her. To help all of us really. Thank you in advance!
