FROM OYF ALERT! ALERT!! ALERT!!! It has come to the notice of OYF that the Sole Administrator of Orhionmwon Local Government Council, Iyobo Igharo, has concluded plans to borrow a huge sum of N40million for a utopian Electrification Project that will never see the light of the day when in reality he has less than three (3) weeks to vacate the office. In other to ensure the speedy release of the huge amount, he has transferred the local government Sure P account from Sky Bank to Zenith Bank to enable him service the loan with the Sure P account, due to the advice and encouragement of some dubious and incoherent so-called political big wings from the local government to make sure their last loot is juicy and mighty. The laborious cum utopian Electrification Project that is to stretch from Obozogbe to Evboeghae is to be carried out in direct manual labour. Some of the questions that immediately come to mind are; is it possible for the Sole Administartor to accomplish this monumental project in less than three (3) weeks before vacating the office? Constitutionally, is a Sole Administrator empowered by law to embark on such a capital project? The patient, courageous and good people of Orhionmwon seeks answer to these questions and many more. From our investigation, we found out that the said N40million will be used for the Congress of All Progressives Congress (APC), coming on in April, this year. The motive behind this initiating this quixotic Electrification Project is to use council’s money to conduct congress, while the villages that ought to have benefited from the Electrification Project will continue to be in darkness and Orhionmwon will continue to be underdeveloped on the alter of godfatherism, nepotism, and impunity. We have sent a strong warning to Zenith Bank to desist from such bokoharamic and abacha-like-act as we will not fail to drag them before the eagles’ eyes, Economic and Financial Crime Commssion (EFCC), and also, we are sending a strong warning too to the emperor-Sole Administrator and his cohorts that Orhionmwon is not their farm land and as such, they should retrace their miscalculated footstep, abort the clandestine move, and desist from their sadistic, tricky and invisible Electrification Project without further delay as the courageous and sagacious people of Orhionmwon will not fail to expose them and their nefarious activities.
