FROM: Roak L Elthea Hello, can you please ask this to the page if you have a moment? I tried to explain to some neurotypical women why its hard for some women (like myself) to get along with NT women. I mentioned confusing group dynamics, indirect communication style, gossip, etc that are confusing for non-neuro-typical women. One woman responded: If women cannot get on well with other women there is usually a reason for that. I avoid these women. That is so hurtful. Why is it that the burden of connection is always with the aspie to figure them out and act like them or else we should be avoided like were some kinda freaks? I find female NTs incredibly confusing and difficult to interact with. They dont understand me at all and dont show any signs of wanting to, either, but I have tried hard to understand them (and still fail). Either we have to function like them or we are bad in their eyes. What do other aspienwomen think about what she said? I dont know how else to feel other than ashamed as though there is something wrong with me that I have a hard time understanding women.
