Michigan corrections officials say a guard at the Saginaw Correctional Facility is recovering in the neurological observation unit of a local hospital, after an inmate bludgeoned and stabbed him Friday afternoon. Officials say the prisoner was being moved to another wing of the prison when he attacked Kevin Ott with a padlock inside a sock. Officials say the prisoner repeatedly hit Ott in the head and stabbed him several times. WNBY SPORTS!!! The Detroit Lions will be practicing across the pond this week as they get ready to take on the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley Stadium in London Sunday. The team was scheduled to leave yesterday so players could get used to the time change and the new practice facilities. Detroit head coach Jim Caldwell confirmed receiver Calvin Johnson, who has missed the last two games with a high ankle sprain, will make the trip.
