FROM THE NEWSROOM: A Killingly man was arrested Saturday, after police say he left two children unattended in an idling car outside of a local supermarket. State police say that 33-year-old Ryan Leech, of Wauregan Rd., Killingly, was arrested and charged with two counts of risk of injury to a child and one count of leaving a child under the age of 12 unsupervised in a public place. Authorities say that troopers were dispatched to the Big Y Market in Danielson Saturday afternoon for a report of an infant child left unattended in an idling car. When troopers arrived, they say they found a young child and an infant asleep in a unlocked car in the parking lot. Witnesses told police that the car was unattended for about twenty-five minutes before police arrived. After his arrest, Leech was issued a $2,500 bond and scheduled to appear in Danielson Superior Court on Feb. 19.
