FROM THE NEWSROOM: A recent approval by the Canterbury Planning and Zoning Commission will allow local bed and breakfast establishments to have an “agent” live on site, rather than exclusively requiring the owners to retain residency at their businesses. Planning and Zoning Chairman Peter Kelly says that this change came about after correspondence with the towns Economic Development Commission; Kelly noted that the cooperation between the town groups has helped Planning and Zoning to determine which regulations can be modified to the benefit of local businesses. The text amendment has a 15 day appeal period, and should it remain untouched, it will become official regulation. Tune in for the full report.
