FROM THE NEWSROOM: After providing a state trooper with a false name and then attempting to flee the scene of a traffic stop, a Brooklyn man was arrested over the weekend. State police say that 30-year-old David Faford, of Front Street, was stopped by police on Route 6 in Brooklyn Sunday, and allegedly lied about his identity before taking off. Faford was later located on Elm Street, where he was arrested and charged with criminal impersonation and interfering with an officer. Police said he was also issued an infraction for operating a motor vehicle without a license. Bail was set at 5,000. Faford is expected to face the charges in court on July 15.
