FROM THE NEWSROOM: State police arrested a Chaplin man Thursday who has been charged as fugitive from justice. According police, 51-year-old Alan Ward, who was residing at a home on Phoenixville Road in Chaplin, was wanted by Wisconsin authorities for a parole violation. His original crime in that state was related to a larceny, police said. He was arrested Thursday morning in Chaplin and charged with being a fugitive from justice. Ward was held on a $50,000 bond and is expected to be arraigned in Danielson Superior Court today.
