FROM THE NEWSROOM: State police arrested two Thompson residents Tuesday night on drug charges. In a press release, authorities said that 19-year-old Mark Alexander and 18-year-old Gianna Renzi, both of West Thompson Rd., were arrested yesterday in Danielson at approximately 9:40 p.m. by members of the Troop D Quality of Life Task Force and state troopers from the Danielson Barracks. Both were charged with possession of narcotics and operating a motor vehicle without head lights. Authorities said troopers pulled over a vehicle that was driving without head lights lit on Westcott Rd. and during the traffic stop, Alexander admitted to being in possession of narcotics. Troopers subsequently located crack cocaine, heroin and Suboxone on his person. During a search of the vehicle, police also located Suboxone in Renzis purse. Both were placed under arrest without incident, and later released on $500 non-surety bonds. Alexander and Renzi are scheduled to appear in Danielson Superior Court on Nov. 5
