FROM THE NEWSROOM: The Plainfield Police Department is currently investigating multiple residential burglaries that have occurred in the Moosup village of Plainfield. The burglaries have occurred during the day while the owners have been away. Usually there is forced entry into the residence and jewelry is taken. The Plainfield Police Department is committed to the safety of the community and have increased patrols through the Moosup village during all shifts. Residents are urged to contact the Plainfield Police Department to report any suspicious incidents or persons that appear out of the normal and are greatly interested in any information that the public can provide.
