Duties will include, but are not limited to, the protection of lives and property through fire suppression and prevention activities, first responder emergency medical care, and maintenance of fire stations, apparatus, and equipment. Work schedule is 24 hours on duty, followed by 48 hours off duty. POSITION REQUIREMENTS • Valid driver’s license from current state of residence • High School Diploma or GED • 21 years of age by filing date (August 8, 2013). • Valid CPAT card PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS • Kentucky Commission on Fire Protection Standards and education career firefighter incentive program (400 hour) certification. • Valid Kentucky Emergency Medical Technician certificate. SALARY AND BENEFITS • Annual starting pay: $28,708 – $30,039 DOQ. • Kentucky Training Incentive: $3,100.00 annually • Kentucky Retirement Systems (CERS Hazardous Duty) • Competitive benefits, vacation, and sick leave.
