FROM YOUR SCHOOL NURSE- We are reminding students of illness prevention and good health habits. We are sharing this with you so you can help reinforce these habits at home too! 1)Thoroughly wash hands (especially under fingernails) after using the bathroom 2)Cough/sneeze into sleeves and NOT hands 3)Do NOT touch the face for any reason without washing hands or using hand sanitizer first 4)Wash hands with soap and water frequently throughout the day 5)Hands are to be washed (or use hand sanitizer) before eating a meal or snack. Also, if a child does not appear well, check for fever before bringing them to school. Students are not to be in school if temperature is 100 degrees or above. Though it is not influenza season, there is increased incidence of other respiratory illness in our state. Children with asthma are especially vulnerable. We want to work with you to help keep students healthy and in school! Seek medical care without delay if your child has a fever with cough or wheezing.
