FULL TIME JOB OPPORTUNITY The Central Baltimore Partnership (CBP) is seeking a full-time Organizer to build and manage coalitions of neighborhood organizations and a wide-range of stakeholders throughout the Central Baltimore catchment area to focus on our quality-of-life agenda. Much of CBP’s work and partner support is coordinated through our “Task Forces,” which focus on issues and opportunities that need collection action or where a broad coalition is necessary for community, economic and/or social change. The Organizer will facilitate, expand and manage existing task forces and identify and foster new partnerships, build upon existing partner relationships to implement strategies and address issue-specific opportunities to implement strategies. The Organizer will directly manage the Saturation of Clinics and Public Safety Task Forces and their sub-committees. He/she will also provide staff and technical assistance support to improve affordable housing management and tenant resources collaborating with the Public Safety Task Force and the Residential Development and Marketing Task Force. The Organizer will also be responsible for coordinating CBP’s General Partnership meetings held five times a year and open to our formal partners and the larger public. On an as needed basis, the Organizer will assist CBP’s Project Manager and Community Planner in managing a newly identified task force: Public Realm (transportation, transit, streetscaping, and lighting). He/she will coordinate, manage, facilitate, follow-up and ensure the task forces and sub-committees’ action items are achieved in collaboration with CBP’s task force partners and goals. CBP’s Coalition Organizer will provide project management assistance and program support to a variety of partners and will work closely with other staff administering and managing grant applications and programs as needed. The Coalition Organizer may have additional support from CBP’s part-time intern and will be expected to help supervise that person. Specific duties associated with the position will include: Help task forces define issues, create strategies and action plans and evaluate collection action. Manage action plans created by task forces. Coordinate, facilitate and manage task force meetings. Ensure active partner participation within the task forces and seek new, relevant partners to achieve the goals of the assigned task forces. Maintain various contact lists for the task forces with the most current information and liaise between task forces and appropriate city/state agencies and other organizations or partners to implement task force action plans. Provide leadership coaching and capacity building for task force leaders. Conduct follow-ups on specified action items and/or sub-working groups and report out to necessary parties. Ensure cross-cutting collaboration across task forces, partnership and communities. Develop relationships with new and existing partners to achieve the goals of the assigned task forces. Contribute to CBP’s continuous social media and communication efforts. Assist in supervising CBP’s interns and clerical staff. Assist other staff members on an as needed basis with projects, events, grant applications, reports, meetings, etc. Perform general administrative duties associated with managing task forces.
