FUNNY STORY: I was in Hobby Lobby the other day trying to get my fix and this little boy was screaming and screaming and screaming. The mom had wondered off and his grandmother was holding his baby sister and boy, was he mad. He wanted her to hold him. (He was about 3) I looked at her and smiled. Usually, if its a young mom and she looks stressed out and embarrassed Ill go up to her and just encourage her. Youre doing a good job. I have 2 that are teenagers but I have been where you are. Please know that not EVERYBODY is looking at you with condemning eyes! and Ill often throw in a This too shall pass! Lol I didnt do that with this grandmother cause she didnt seem stressed at all. She was doing exactly what she should of been doing. She was ignoring the behavior. I just smiled at her and she smiled back. As I was standing in the ribbon aisle I could hear the screams getting closer and closer and closer. I looked to my right as she passed by and this little boy had wrapped himself around her leg, His bottom was on the floor and his arms were around her knee and his legs were around her ankle. and she was STILL WALKING and dragging him along. I BUSTED OUT LAUGHING and she LAUGHED right back. It was the funniest thing Id ever seen. When I laughed the little boy looked at me and got embarrassed. The next time I saw them, grandma was still holding baby sister and brother was sitting in the buggy. He had stopped the fit and finally caved.
