FUTUER OF THE GROUP. Colin and myself had a meeting scheduled yesterday ( Thursday ) afternoon, to review the official stuff that I had been working on over the Christmas period, at which, Colin dropped the bombshell that he was withdrawing from the group, as he felt it was too small, and that most of the members lacked the skillset to progress to our goal successfully. I was shocked and unsure of how to proceed, however as only four people turned up at the meeting last night, two of whom were Colin and myself, it was decided to wind up the group. While I am perfectly capable of doing everything required to get to the tins of beans on shelves, stage. I think it unreasonable for one ( ageing ) person to carry all that responsibility. I am deeply sad , not to mention disillusioned as I really believe that a food co-op would have been of great benefit to the people of Dundee struggling to feed themselves and their children.
