FYI - I just contacted Fortis Alberta to find out what is going on with our power the last month. To the knowledge of the guy I spoke with, I was the first person to call and inform them that we have any problems going on out here. He was incredibly helpful, put in a service call to my personal residence and said someone will be coming to check our area within next 5 days. He said it is possible that a branch is simply resting on a line somewhere causing shortages and brief outages, and no one has noticed or been made aware of it yet. He promised me that the guys they send will get in contact with me to let me know if/what they find and to ensure things are back on track in Irricana. Anyways, I just wanted to share that since I have seen so many things said about the power outages and I was rather surprised to find out that mine was the 1st call they received about it (at least to the knowledge of the guy I spoke with; that being said he wouldnt necessarily know since they put the service call towards a specific residence).
