FYI - many of my friends will read this and say, thats very interesting. Some will read it and say that makes no since. Some will read it and say that I am glad that I have never gotten caught. Some will read this and say, I guess Melvin didnt have anything better to post. The purpose of the following words are to just put my friends on notice of a law that they may not be aware of. So here goes! As far a misdemeanors are concerned; if you get convicted for a violation of the UNIFORM CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE LAW, the statue states that your driving privileges in this state shall be suspended FOR 6 MONTHS. A couple of examples of these crimes would be, possession of paraphernalia, simple possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle. There are many more crimes that fit this criteria but these are the most common in the courts that handle misdemeanors. So not only can you subject yourself to jail time and fines you also lose your driving privileges. I share this because I here it said way to many times, I wasnt driving, why are my license being suspended or I need my license to go to work. IF YOU KNOW BETTER, DO BETTER!
