FYI- the light by Panera will be turned on today, the road around Panera will be open so safe access in and out of the la fitness plaza. (Panera is scheduled to open april 9) The public works department is planning for adaptive traffic light technology that ties all the traffic lights together up and down Mitchell hammock and will adjust the timing based on traffic flow, very cool technology. It is one of the road improvement projects of the proposed $55 million on the list of projects coming to Oviedo should the seminole county penny sales tax referendum out for a vote in May pass, if not it is still in our plan it will just take a little longer to fund on our capital improvement project list. ***Important Roadway Bulletin*** Please make note of the following information: The new traffic signal at the intersection of Mitchell Hammock Road and Clara Lee Evans Way is currently flashing. Monday at 9am, Seminole County is anticipating to turn on the traffic signal, making it fully operational. Variable message boards (VMB’s) are in place to warn the motorists.
