FYI .. I am a Hilton Honors member and I checked the rate on Hotels for Albany NY and it was $119 for the Garden Inn .. I called Hilton and explained that HT.C was $119 but I would gladly pay a few $$ more direct to Hilton if they would give me a fair rate. She gave me the $119 rate and note to HT.C users .. if you book HT.C you do not get reward points even if you are a member .. anyway .. we stayed at Albany for about 7 to 8 hours because we got in @ 3am and checked out @ 10am or so .. when I checked out they told me they only charged me for 1/2 day ($69 vs $119) .. I never asked for it .. they just did it. That will keep me coming back to Hilton properties and avoiding cheapassrates ... :)
