FYI: Internship opportunity for Attorney Generals race. DC Attorney General Race seeking a political fundraising intern for this fall. This year DC residents will be voting for their first ever Attorney General. With November 4th just around the corner, we need ambitious political fundraising interns who are willing to participate in the makings of history. About the Candidate: Lateefah Williams spent the earlier part of her career as a Policy Analyst for OBM Watch. There she focused on bringing legal experts and nonprofits together to focus on alternative political frameworks. She has since served as the political and legislative Director for the Amalgamated Transit Union, local 689 as well as the President for the Gertrude Stein Democratic Club. She currently is the author of “Life in the Intersection” a biweekly column for the Washington Blade. Internship Description: We are searching for fundraising interns who are interested in democratic political fundraising. The internship position will allow students to get hands-on campaign experience in what is sure to be a historic race, doing everything from researching potential donors, event coordination, database management, canvassing, and various other tasks. We expect our interns to commit a minimum of 15 hours per week. This is an unpaid internship and college credit is encouraged. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have experience working on a campaign, or have taken related coursework. An interest in progressive politics is preferable.
