FYI all California cardholders please read I have been doing some research and here is what I have found. Statute: California civil code 1748.1 (a)(west) "No retailer... may impose a surcharge on a cardholder who elects to use a credit card in lieu of payment by cash, check or similar means... " In other words it is illegal in the state of California for a retailer to charge you to use your credit card and bank card, does not apply to utility bills.
