Facebooks Radically Redesigned Blue Like Button Goes Live for All The blue Facebook Like button that some of you may have spotted in the wild is here to stay. Facebook decided that the experiment was successful enough to make the changes permanent. The Like button may have gotten a few tweaks in the past, but this is the first time its getting a major revamp. Not only does it look totally different and its blue to boot, but it also drops the iconic thumbs up icon, replacing it with the generic Facebook logo. Today, were introducing a new design for both Like and Share to help people share more great content across the web, Facebook announced. Were already seeing a favorable increase in Likes and Shares with the new design and will be rolling these buttons out to everyone in the coming weeks. If you are currently using the old Like button, youll be automatically upgraded to the new design as part of our roll out, it added. The new buttons are going live soon; you should be spotting them on any of the sites you regularly visit. Since the Facebook button is probably the most popular such widget out there, it wont be long before you stumble upon it.
