#FactOrFiction #MachineHead - #BeneathTheSilt Clocking in at a pissy 1minute and 25seconds this teaser for the new Machine Head track Beneath The Silt just happens to be quite the listen as it offers up an epicly groovy stoner vibe whilst still capturing a pretty solid amount of traditional and oft used #MachineHead guitar/bass tones that makes this band absolutely unmistakable and easily identifiable to any novice fan despite the immediately obvious stylistic departures from previous MH tracks/releases. In my opinion when this track is coupled with the existing Bloodstone & Diamonds teasers we have already had the pleasure of checking out over recent weeks, then it becomes a little more clear that this album isnt going to be a repeat. No average, bring revisit of their award winning album Unto The Locust (2011) or, as I originally began predicting after recently hearing a demo track/teaser (the completed version of which appears as track 2 - Killers & Kings on their upcoming album), that this album was to be a throwback to the days of The Burning Red. Though T.B.R, when released, was a much maligned album which was despised by many MH fans worldwide it actually remained their top selling album for quite sometime after its release and actually signified the maturation of MH, though many would claim that the guys have always been Trendchasers and T.B.R is a glaring example of this. This latest MH album Bloodstone and Diamonds is already hinting, though subtly, at being an eclectic mix of musical styles and subject matter yet again that will seemingly see a definite and further style shift away from the bands original style, or even that of this bands previous album, as it was for 1999s T.B.R album. This band does seem to comfortable in their skins however, as they once were when they hit the world wide arenas back in 1996/97. My prediction for this band off the back of mere word of mouth, album/track teasers and demo singles that I have been lucky enough to get my mits on is that this band will no doubt hit another home run with this album. Not a doubt in my mind. I see a main of BILLBOARD top100 success sided with a large helping of Grammy nomination and topped with a world tour that will see this band surpass the once lofty heights that the collective always showed promise to reach; entering 2015 as the top ranked metal band currently on the planet today......................
