Faculty in focus: Faculty of the day: Dr. Sunanda Vashisht Assistant Professor (Selection Grade), PhD, Delhi University, MSc, Chaudhary Charan Singh University,Meerut, Dr. Sunanda Vashisth has significant expertise in the area of Fibre Optics and Physics. Before joining this University, she taught undergraduate and postgraduate students in Delhi University, where she also conducted research at the postdoctoral level. She has worked as a Junior Research Fellow and Senior Research Fellow on DRDO- and DOE-sponsored projects respectively for about two years, and worked at CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) as a Senior Research Fellow for about three years. Dr Vashisth has published and presented 16 research papers in various international and national journals and conferences. She has also authored books and lab manuals. Her areas of interest are Doped Optical Fibre Amplifiers, Integrated Optics, Nano Optics and Fibre Gratings.
