Fair warning this is going to be a long one ~ I come from a family who struggles with mental disorders. I have experienced depression for a good portion of my life. It became the driving force in my personal healing process, and at this point is in remission. For other members of my family its been a true struggle just being in the flesh. Dealing with the confines of human mind and emotions, culture, and definitions of illnesses doctors are barely begining to comprehend. (I honestly dont know that modern science, in its current state has the tools or understanding necessary to heal any mental challenge) So I have always had a different perspective of Robin Williams. I knew the signs, as do many. And many have said his death is tragic. Perhaps. A vital part of my personal healing is reprogramming my thought processes, as my thoughts were the source of so much torture in the past. I am encouraged to see so many others standing in authenticity and telling their own stories. I applaud you, for in your vulnerability you reveal your strength, and you bring the Light of Awareness to those who dwell in the darkness of unknowing. To all of you who have mental challenges. Who struggle with feeling different, insecure, lonely, uncomfortable. Who wrestle with anxiety, ptsd, depression. Who have been diagnosed with autism, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, all dis~eases of the mind. It is my prayer that each of you recognize and find comfort knowing ~ You are not alone. You are not different. You are not broken. We are not separate, any of us. We are all Life. So many souls know where you have been, and where you are today, because they have been there, or are there, or will be there. No, not in the same experience, or with the same perception, but in the same state of being. But most important ~ Know You Are Loved Just as You Are If by no one else, by me. I See You, just as You Are. I Love You, just as You Are. And I honor You for Your courage in waking up and facing another day. Love and Light to All Creation. Blessed Be.
