Fairhaven Police have filed charges against a 36 year old Fairhaven resident for tagging several properties with spray paint in the area of Sconticut Neck Road. John Spangler Jr. of 31 Day Street has been charged with five counts of tagging after the conclusion of an investigation conducted by Officer Philip Lacerda. Spangler is accused of spray painting graffiti of five separate buildings, including Hungry Heroes, the 99 Restaurant, Friendly Farm Convenience Store, the Barn Antique Store and Bayside Apartments. A criminal complaint has been issued against Spangler charging him with five counts of tagging. He will be arraigned in Third District Court on September 4th. Among the penalties for a tagging conviction is a one year driver’s license suspension.
