(Fairly) Daily Reflections from my Bag O’ Wisdom©: I have a newsflash for you-everyone has at least one gift. There is one thing (again, at least) that makes you special and worthy of appreciation. You may not be an artist or a dancer or a scholar in the literal sense. I believe however, that gifts often show up in other ways. You may be totally unaware of them because they are manifested in the ordinary. Is yours a happy personality? Is your mere “Good Morning!” enough to bring a smile to your friends? Do you play with your children? Do you take care of an ailing family member? Do you plant a garden? Do walk with someone even though you may not agree on the path s/he is on? These are but small examples of the many gifts each of us offers – the priceless gift of self, of heart, of time and of caring. And you think you are ordinary because you are not an artist, a dancer, a scholar? I beg to differ.
