Faith in Democracy restored after fridays referendum - More democracy not less! Respect the peoples decision Respect the constitution ! An Seanad - Open it to all to vote in it both Prof Crown, and Quinn/Zapones bills allow for this - it can be done with in the constitution. At least try this and if in the next seanad term there needs to be changes then review it. An Seanad should not be a rival dail, it should be a chamber where reflection, to take a 2nd look and insight is provided on legislation, it should be without the punch and judy show which the dail has become on many issues. An Seanad has a mandate and obligation now to up its game and make itself the institution the voters who place their faith in it on friday deserve.
