Faith in humanity. My mother in law missed the free parking time limit by seconds at Chermside shopping mall and got stuck at the gate when the machine demanded $2 to let her out. With cars backed up, not having any coins and finding the credit card option unusable, she faced the prospect of leaving the car and walking back a fair way to the pay machine. As a senior citizen, such a walk was a bit daunting so she asked a couple of passing boys if they would take the ticket and the $2 and validate the parking ticket. I am gratified to say that they ran off and, quick as a flash, were back with the paid-for ticket. Dont know who they are, but thanks anyway.
