Faith is both the easiest thing to have and the hardest. Faith can - TopicsExpress

Faith is both the easiest thing to have and the hardest. Faith can be as easy as believing like a child in the Word, or as hard as accepting Gods will during times of despair and sorry. It is easy to let our fears guide our prayers. Often we think, what if His will is not my will? What will I do if things dont go my way? We get scared and so our prayers lifted up to God are about us and what we want. This is not wrong, for the Bible tells us to take everything to God in prayer. But, there comes a time when your quite and still that you hear God talking to your heart. He is telling us His will and we sometimes choose to hear Gods will and sometimes we panic and ignore it. This is what I call the sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach or sometimes simply your heart aches with the truth. This is when faith is hard and you have to choose to completely surrender yourself to Gods will or continue to desperately pray for your will to be done. It is indeed an internal struggle that I have faced a few times more than I wanted to. And, I have witnessed many of friends go through this same struggle as I have. Because of this, I have witness the most amazing faith during these trials. However, my biggest question has always been do we pray for a miracle or healing, or do we pray for Gods will? There are many examples in the Bible to support both sides and both require great faith. Jesus actually did both in his prayer prior to His crucifixion. Does it take more faith to boldly ask our Creator for a healing and claim it, or does it take more faith to bend to Gods will even though the future may seem uncertain and scary? Maybe there is no wrong answer....
