Faith or Reason Faith is described in Hebrews 11:1, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Reason can be the enmeny of faith. Why? Because it will try to "trump" our trust in God. How? Making us rely on our own human intellect, logical thinking and put our confidence in ourselves, which in turn leads to worry and insecurity. God waits on us to accept that we need a Savior and respond in faith to him. Reason says to us, I can do it, but faith says "With God all things are possible", Matthew 19:26. Reason tells us to hurry and get it before it gets gone. Faith steps in and says, But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:19. Reason tells us there IS a better way. Faith looks to Jesus and hears Him say,"I am the way, the truth and the life, John 14:6. The world seems to have the upper hand, now, But in time, They will dry up like grass. Belonging to Christ we have eternal life.
