Fall Shotgun League Announcement Registration Period: August 3, 2013 through August 18, 2013. Registration Closure: The registration period must end on August 18, 2013, in order to have time for the arrangement of squads, a schedule, and to make range reservations. No exceptions. Registration and Fee: Signup and pay fees in the SVSC Shotgun Office. Write legibly when providing your name, telephone number and email address so you will receive important information before our first shooting date. Fall League fees are $50 for SVSC members (voting and non-voting members) and $70 for non-members. Schedule: Fall league shooting will begin on Saturday, August 24, 2013, and end with a lunch and range improvement project on October 26, 2013. Weather delays may extend the schedule. Activities: The schedule will include 100 trap targets, 100 skeet targets, 50 5-Stand Targets, two open weekends for makeup and shoot-ahead shooting to accommodate absences, one Shoot-Away date, and a lunch and project date. Two rounds (50 targets) are shot on each shooting date. No activity during the Labor Day weekend. First Shooting Date: On Saturday, August 24, 2013, please sign-in at the SVSC Shotgun Office and gather with your shooting equipment under the awning near Skeet field #2 by 9:00 A.M. If you are late you will miss orientation and important information. Classifications: Shooters are designated as Class A, B, or C based on the score record. Those returning from prior leagues already have a classification based on an established average. Beginners will be placed in Class C. The league rules establish how the established average is determined and adjusted based on scores. Beginners: Beginners are welcome. This is great way to learn shotgun sports. Youth Participants: You must be at least 10 years of age. Any participant not yet 18 years of age must be in the company of a parent or guardian. Trophies and Awards: Sorry, there are no trophies. This is a recreational league for the purpose of learning and enjoying shotgun shooting sports. Occasionally, the League Committee has granted small awards in recognition of outstanding achievements.
