False Prophets by Derek Prince (excerpt from Protection From Deception) Part 4 Expect An Increase In times of spiritual decline, false prophets multiply. In the time of Elijah, late in King Ahabs reign, there were four hundred and fifty (450) prophets of Baal and four hundred (400) prophets of Asherah, an immoral, pagan deity. That makes eight hundred and fifty (850) false prophets, a stark contrast to the single true prophet, Elijah. Also during Ahabs reign, Ahab used the testimony of four hundred other false prophets to convince Jehoshaphat, King of Judah, to go to war against Ramoth-Gilead. In this instance, too, there was but one true prophet, Micaiah. This period alone witnessed twelve hundred and fifty (1,250) false prophets and only two (2) true prophets. Do you think that this stark contrast is much different today? I believe the ratio of false prophets to true prophets has changed very little since then. *********** So you think God is with you because you have a crowd? You think God is with you because you have a National Organization? You know God is with you because you are getting tons of invites to go preach everywhere? You believe God is with you because everybody is agreeing with you? You think God is with you because you can fill up a hotel or pack out a convention hall? You think God is with you because you have hundreds of graduates from your Bible School? You say God is with you because the majority is on your side? Surely, God cant be with just ONE person, right? Well, this proves that people dont read their bibles, at all. Or if they do, they certainly dont believe what they read. God showed me this revelation many years ago when He revealed to me just who He had called me to be. Now, it all makes sense. No wonder I never fit into the mold or with the crowd. Because I was never created to fit. REAL PROPHETS dont have a crowd! REAL PROPHETS dont have a following. REAL PROPHETS dont need to be endorsed by people. They dont win popularity contests. And they typically are NOT received well by the majority or the status quo, because it is the status quo that God usually is sending the message of rebuke to. And they dont mind not being accepted and being rejected by the status quo, because they have lived a LIFE of rejection. Its all a part of their processing. God has His own tailor-made prophet school. Trust me, He knows exactly what Hes doing. And as for me, I would rather be ONE on Gods side, than be in crowd of multitudes who are deceived and destined for hell. Look around you, there are thousands upon thousands of pastors, and prophets, being called every day! With more to come. The occupation of a pastor is increasing! I have to admit, if you market yourself right, its good business! But God is not in the business of being misrepresented. In these last days, God has drawn the line in the sand. Which side are you on? You say emphatically, The Lords side! What if you have to stand there all by yourself? Do you still say that? Dont worry. Youll be tested. And then youll really know what God already knows. Choose wisely. If God be fore me, who can be against me? ANSWER: Nobody. #TEAMGOD
