Family and Friends, I would like to clear up a few things as we - TopicsExpress

Family and Friends, I would like to clear up a few things as we are getting ready to head into the next few months regarding redeployment. 1. Manifests (flight rosters) are finalized no earlier than 10 days prior to a redeployment flight. Anything published prior to that is considered a draft and is subject to change. 2. A manifest is still subject to change within the 10 day period due to a number a different reasons. The most prevalent one is that the Units Mission always takes priority. Our Brigade (BDE) Commander and BDE Command Sergeant Major are the authority on all deployment/redeployment decisions with respect to the BDE. Once finalized and approved by the BDE Commander, the 2-77 Staff Duty Desk will be able to verify if your Soldier is scheduled to redeploy. The Non-Commissioned Officer on Duty will only release information to the point of contact identified by the Soldier. 3. Within 96 hours of a Welcome Home Ceremony, in addition to the BDE hotline (to be published soon), our fastest way to update time changes will be via the 2-77 FA Battalion Facebook page. 4. The BDE Town Hall meeting on 22 July will cover information focused around redeployment topics. I highly recommend everyone to attend, but understand that will not be possible for all. We will draft notes to be published via email after approval. This will ensure compliance with all operation security protocol. 5. We currently have a welcome home ceremony scheduled, as stated in LTC Johnsons previous post, in a few weeks. Once the manifest is approved, it will be distributed to the FRG Leaders who will then contact families to give them the details for the ceremony. 6. If you are not receiving emails from your FRG Leader, please contact them to ensure they have your correct information. Remember, Soldiers fill out FRG data sheets for the Battery they are assigned. There is an option on the form to elect for the unit to not contact their family with any FRG matters. If this is the case but you would like to adjust that, please contact your Soldier and let him/her know your intentions after speaking with your FRG Leader: HHB: Stephanie Cleland: hhb.steel.frg@gmail Alpha: Ashley Conners: alpha.rockhard@gmail Bravo: Kalyn Morse: bravo277frg@gmail Golf: Alina Jones: frgfsc277fa@gmail 7. Remember that the FRG Leaders are volunteers. They take time out of their busy schedules to help the Battalion run the FRG program. Without them, there would be no FRG. Please treat them with the respect they deserve. If they are unable to provide you with the information you need, they will contact me and well do our best to assist you. V/R CPT Morse Rear Detachment Commander
