Family, while we love to share in the happiest of things, but as you know, we also share for those in need of help. Tonight, we do that again and ask that you please help and share as you can. There is also a very important message in this story. Dedicated rescuers from Josies Place Cat Rescue, along with others, stepped in while all others turned a blind eye to a horrific hoarding situation in Connecticut. Rescuers, some of whom had to be in haz-mat suits, were able to save 23 cats from a house that has now been condemned. Not only did these people put themselves in peril by entering such a place, but many also put forth their own money to get emergency vetting for these poor kitties. Most of these cats had been saved from shelters. Many had even been delivered by well-intentioned people who thought that they were saving lives. Thankfully, someone stepped up and put a stop to it when they saw the abhorrent conditions and the suffering within these walls. We ALL want to save lives. We ALL want kitties to escape these horrible high-kill shelters. But, again, their new homes need to be an improvement from their previous situation. No matter how much supposed love someone has to give, hoarders are the worst fate of all for any living creature. No one deserves to live in their own waste, suffer from urine scald, starve, be covered in fleas, and be forced to breathe in the ammonia from waste of countless animals that goes uncleaned for who-knows-how-long.
