Famine Relief in TRC: Where is all the relief food going??? On the 4th March 2013 Kenya entered a new constitutional dispensation ushering in County Governments. In TRC, we elected the able Hon. Amb. Hussein Dado as our first County Governor (CG). However, the National Government (NG) continues to carry out some functions which can only be justified by the NG (the Constitution of Kenya does not recognize.) Judge Mumbi Ngaru gave the verdict. Now just one example why we cant have two headteachers in a school. NG through Ministry of Special programmes provides relief food every month to residents of Tana River County and in many other counties in Kenya. This food is distributed by the Provincial Administration (PA.) The Governor has no control over this. The amounts of food are huge but what reaches the ground is very little. We have to be vigilant so that our people affected by floods and violent tribal clashes of 2012, older people and children get access to this food.
