Famous for his anti-disposition towards Pak-Taliban peace talk and his anti-Taliban stance, Rehman Malik, posted a list of eight questions for Taliban on his official twitter account on Friday. The following is quoted exactly as Malik has posted it: 1) Have Taliban consolidated themselves to talk if so make your group unity public 2) Do you undertake not take the name of TTP once you give up violence 3) Why do you want to declare a part of FATA as no man land/highlight your intentions 4) Will you tell people of Pakistan details of your supporters and handlers 5) How will you compensate the victim/families who were killed by you 6) Will you Taliban move to Syria or Yeme in near future 7) Will you identify sleeping cells in Pakistan and understake to finish them 8) Will you destroy the entire arms and ammunitions publicly Rehman Malik requested the nation to elicit answers and comments on the above questions from Taliban and the government on his twitter. These questions could be viewed in the same vein in which a few weeks back, Malik gave out a stern statement declaring Taliban anti-Islam and anti-Pakistan. And that if even 15 out of 2000 of them were anti-Pakistan, then all the others should be considered the same. And even though, he revealed to have held four secret meetings with Taliban, his bearings against the peace talks remain unbent. Grammatical glitches and pronunciations lapses aside, his tweet appears to be an effort to remind public of the ineffectuality of peace talks without the accountability that Taliban in his opinion need to give.
