☆Fan Question☆ Rpb Babycub I am 13 weeks and 2 days pregnant and Im not sure how many of you know of a new test drs are doing to check for downs syndrome, they do an ultrasound to take measurements of babies neck, blood test and mothers age and combine them and get an answer of positive or negative. As I said this is a newer test and i never had this test run when I was pregnant with my son whos now 2 so you can imagine the anxiety I am having right now getting a call from my Dr and him telling me my results came back positive and Im only the 2nd person hes ever had to say that to Im freaking out as this is a whole new experience, our son is a very healthy child, it scares me at the possibility of having a child with complications. We will love our children all the same of course but its definitely intimidating. He gave me 2 options for another test for hopefully another outcome, we can do the test where they shove a giant needle in my stomach and draw amniotic fluid and test it which is 100% accurate results, or some other special blood test that is 99.2% positive and we agreed on that one so i am scheduled Friday for this test. Have any of you mommies experienced this?? Did you get different results the second test?? Any info, words of encouragement, etc would be so greatly appreciated right now!!!! Thank you!
