Fantastic School Camp with kindegarteners and družina kids: In kindergarten class and school classes all have been counting the days, making wishes of different activities we could do on camp, what kind of snacks or toys to bring and about talking together before falling asleep. Yes, this has been an event we have all been looking forward to! We are kindergarteners, quite young but brave as ever! It wasn’t the first experience for the second graders but the first graders were excited as kindergarteners, too! Monday morning finally came, the bus is packed and all kids had found their seats on the bus….they are all a little quite not knowing what to expect or feel. This is first time on camp for many of them…how will it be???But we didn’t get far out of Pezinok before excited and happy talk filled the bus. We arrived to Tabor Podvisnove and everyone had their expectations met, it is in the middle of the forest with beautiful surroundings, place for bonfire, football field, a well, beach volley and the cottages were big, new and cozy. The perfect surroundings for a week in the nature! Then the fun could begin, all kids were divided into groups of 6-7 kids with kindergarteners, 1. Graders and 2. Graders. Group names were created, posters and slogans that followed the kids all week. All week the kids sat in their groups during meals, during competitions/games ect. and collected points. Last day all points were counted and winners were found. Tuesday we had lessons in our classes in the morning, saw an Avery show in the afternoon, and had a talent show in the evening. Wednesday we went to the nearby Beckov castle and kids were very fascinated with all the stones that was used to build it! We had a guided tour of the castle. In the afternoon the camp-staff prepared a bonfire and we had made “spekacky”, and in the evening we had a quiz. Thursday we again had lessons in our classes, and due to the rain we had to cancel the trip to the goat farm, but we made it out for a short rain-walk and then inside activities and preparations for evening-disco. Probably the disco was the greatest success, everyone was dressed up and was in a great party-mood. Everyone was dancing; silly-dancing, break-dance, ball-room-dance, disco-dance….you name it, we saw it!!
