(Fantasy/Medieval Roleplay. No god-mod, and -Bump- If I take too long to reply. Literacy is highly preferred.)) The kingdom was simply bustling with chatter. Arguments were drowned, secretive planned meetings were openly spoken, and regular talk was quieter than ever. Trying to listen to every conversation would set a mind to go insane. But no one ever eavesdropped on another, for the interest to listen could cause danger towards ones self. The sky was clouded with a dense gray atmosphere, rain would soon come upon the kingdom, making the market square close early. As pedestrians of the kingdom spoke, laughed, calmly watched curiously at others, so did the guardsmen patrolling some sectors of the kingdom. The guardsmen wore Maximilian armor, a strange design. White armor made from plain steel, but is decorated with many flutings, that have played a role in deflecting points and blades of assailants, and strengthening the structural strength of a plate. Although timid when lone in combat, they show superb teamwork, courage, and a little of desperate attempts to impress when taking down a foe. Like many guards, they enforce the king and queens law with force. Whether it be petty thievery, or drunken outbursts, they wont hesitate to used force to show they are the upper class, and not to be trifled with. This was just as any other positive castle kingdom, quiet and peaceful, but laws used when disobedience is at hand. It all was just soothing wind blowing overhead on the rooftops, and harmless chatter in the kingdom... Stop! Thief! A metallic voice rang through the suddenly dead quiet road. People looked at one another, wondering what the guard was talking about. Stop him! Dont let him get away! More orders and shouts echoed across the streets. Guards were pursuing a thief, and it happened to be Thorne. The young, but experienced thief that hasnt lost his sneaky hands to snatch something of value. Thorne, was sprinting through crowded streets, accidentally knocking over pedestrians and tipping carts causing havoc. Calm down! It was just a few apples! Thorne shouted against the guards in pursuit of him. He back pedaled, watching the half-dozen guards whim gradually were losing speed due to their armor. Realizing the guardsmen were, he chuckled, and turned himself around, instantly gaining more ground away from them. For some folk, they laughed. Thorne was quite the laughing-stalk amongst the people. They did so enjoy the chases he created unexpectedly. Few folk scoffed with a disapproval expression. It was still quite enjoyable, Thorne loved these moments at times, even if it meant if he got caught it could possibly mean death by hanging. It was obvious he had lost them, for now, but the incoming sound of clapping foots against the pavement meant something far faster than he was now giving chase. Taking a quick glance, he spotted a guardsmen riding a horse with full speed. It made him wonder how desperately they wanted to catch him, and only for just a few apples. Surrender yourself, rat! Another spatting insult to Thorne again. He got that constantly, though he ignored it every time. As he came to a sharp turn, he surprised the guard by jumping onto a wall, holding tightly onto the sills of windows. Saluting the guard, with a devious grin, he crawled upwards to the roof. Gods damn you! The gaurs said, but Thorne was already to the other side of the building to be able to hear it. Releasing a panting, and great sigh of relief, he laughed out loud. Thankful to any gods who had helped him retain his diminishing stamina. Holding two succulent, ripe fire colored apples, he smiled and made his way to the nearby tavern. Entering the tavern, loud laughs and drunk slurs of speech filled the air. It was obvious that some shadowy eyes were already giving him a glare. Not only is he famous with the people and guards, he was to the not-so-friendly thugs of other provinces.
