Far Eastern University-Department of Medical Technology has posted a 91.67-percent passing rate in the August 2013 Medical Technologist Licensure Examination; 85 among 91 first-time takers and three out of five repeaters passed the test. The University has failed to make it to the list of top-performing schools this time. In the same licensure exam in March 2013, FEU had a score of 91.30 percent, making the University the lone top-performing school then. In the September 2012 board, a 100-percent passing rate was posted by FEU. Ariel Aaron Terrones Icabales has led the newly registered Tamaraw medical technologists as he ranked seventh in the list of topnotchers with his 89.80-percent score, alongside two others from Calayan Educational Foundation, Inc. and Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas. Professional Regulation Commission data revealed that the overall passing rate is 83.80 percent; 2,276 out of 2,716 passed the test. This is higher than that of the March 2013 board where only 641 out of 915, equivalent to 70.05 percent, aced the board exam.
