Far out on the Eastern Shore lies one of the most remarkable - TopicsExpress

Far out on the Eastern Shore lies one of the most remarkable heritage sites in Canada. While there are numerous heritage villages and displays across the country, most are reconstructions or assembled from regionally scattered buildings and artifacts. This special place, preserved within the existing town boundaries, is worth a visit at least but if you have even the slightest interests in photography, there is only one way to really experience Sherbrooke Village. A year ago I signed up for one of Wally Hayes Photography Camps. These workshops have to be the least expensive and most diverse ever offered, anywhere, and they are right in your own backyard. They are geared to people with minimal experience, right on up to the long-term amateur or professional photographer. There was ample technical and artistic guidance but the best part of the workshop has to be Wallys anecdotes from all those years as a two-way man. No one knows the province better - at least from behind a camera. Do yourself a favour, sign-up and live right within the village for four days. You wont regret it. Many of the images I captured at the workshop are on YouTube, a great medium for sharing pictures and music around the world. You can turn on the sound to watch and hear Barnacle (a defunct Halifax bar band) right within this groups embedded player. The best experience is, when the window opens, click on Pause, adjust to Full Screen and High Definition on the buttons to the bottom right of the window. Sorry to drone on but you have a great province and Sherbrooke Village is a jewel in the crown. If slideshows are not welcome on the groups page please let me know - but its a little late now eh? ;-) https://youtube/watch?v=E2NVKxvwZRc
