Farby artifact with a story. One day I was researching pre/early war Soviet canteen covers. I came upon one pattern (literal on paper) of one marked for the NKVD. It was a simple drawstring pattern with the clip and belt loops of the other early canteen covers. I started making them and was almost immediately told by an expert they did not exist. Not one to be too combative I changed my listing to say that they may not have existed. About a month later my Ukrainian friend messages me out of the blue, somewhat mad at me...
